i have bought the lifter set that comes with the spider and dog bones from gmpp in a few different motors i have put together and have had great luck. i have seen summit lifters collapse within a short period of running. i have had many speed pro lifters blow on me. i switched to the new gm lsx lifters for my 383 setup because i have heard good things about them and they were $115 for the set.

I've had issues over the years with Comp hydraulic roller lifters in OE roller blocks.

However, my 400 isn't an OE roller so I need to run retrofit either way.
