I replaced my MSD ignition coil last spring. Stamped on the old one (maybe 3 years old?) was "Made in USA." Stamped on the new one was "Made in China." I took pictures of this and posted back on the CF at the time...I was a bit annoyed, especially since the new MSD was bad out of the box, which sent me on a wild goose chase for a problem that wasn't there.
I replaced it with a differnt brand "China" part from Autozone and the car ran great...
