Re: CFI-EFI Method of locking down rocker nuts

I thought is was pretty intuitive and widely used, but here goes. First set the valve lash or hydraulic lifter preload, as desired, with the large, hex adjusting nut. Then back off in the adjustment by approximately an 1/8th turn. Now, while holding the adjusting nut, run the Allen head lock screw down, into contact with the rocker stud. Finally, turn both the wrench on the adjusting nut and the Allen wrench on the lock screw, together, back that approximately 1/8th turn. Turning the two simultaneously, makes for much easier tightening of lock the screw and allows for it to be tightened, tighter than if tightened alone, separately.
