Both should move up and down, quietly and reasonably fast.

If a window does not work, this most likely means a bad motor, but check the fuse pane...

Removin me 92's door panel

Subject: Removin me 92's door panel
by Moe_Vette on 2010/6/3 18:27:35

Dear all

I have a 92 vette and the passenger door panel has never sat quite right along the top of the door (it pulls away at the top from the main door behind it) I have had a poke around and nothing seems broken or cracked - I am just hoping the last guy put it on wrong.

So in my handy 101 projects for your corvette book I turned to page 180 which goes over removing the door panel (my logic being I remove it and then re-attach it properly - so it fits right at the top etc) also me trunk open button does not work on that side so hoped to trouble shoot that too.

Here not there I have followed the steps as best I can in the 101 projects but cant get the door off - I have removed the following screws

the 5 along the bottom
the 2 up the left side of the door
the 1 off the right side of the door (next to the trunk butt)
the 2 inside the hand grip well
the 1 behind the interior light

** the only one mentioned that I could not find was when you pop off the window switch there should be a screw there too (well I got it off but what in there looks like a rivet to me - there is no screw head of any kind nor would it fit a not (shape is a circle)

Is there supposed to be one there - could the last clown have riveted it in place?

It seems to me the thing keeping the door panel on is the door handle/lock mechanism - is still seems to be firmly attached

if any of you guys have gone through this on a late model c4 I would sure luv hearing what I am dealing with here

many thanks
