A/C solenoid |
Subject: A/C solenoid by Roy on 2006/8/13 7:21:23 Can't see your picture, but my '84 doesn't have any solenoid on the back of the compressor. Could you be talking about the vacuum actuated heater control valve, that's located in front of the A/C evap. box, at the right (passenger side) rear corner of the engine? Is this "solenoid" hot or cold when the defroster is turned on? Or are you talking about the connectors that plug into the compressor? The plug on the top rear of the compressor is the safety switch, which will disable the compressor if the freon gets too low, or if the head pressure gets too high. The plug on the top front, as you probably know, is for the clutch, which connects the compressor to the drive pulley. |
