Subject: Re: Trans cooler? by Vetron87 on 2010/9/21 22:52:00 I added a trans cooler with its own fan in front of the radiator( only logical place). The cooling fan kicks on above @ 180. I have a AutoMeter 2 1/16 dia. gauge face trans temp. Used high pressure Gates transmission hose and HP clamps. I have a tee placed in line of the return line to the trans. The sensor threads into the tee with a ground wire running from tee to ground, works great. On a hot 98 degree day in traffic never gets above 185, and didn't create a cooling problem for the engine. Hose lines run above fan shroud and are ziptied to the shroud housing.Trans cooler was a B&M with fan. |
