Good to hear things are coming along, Don. So you decided to stroke it after all, huh?

Well. yeah now, for sure.

I stopped by today to see how things were going and had a few revelations.

The crank is trashed. Every journal was heavily scored, with multiple bearings totally shot. Perhaps one bearing set was less worse than the others.

My heads, although in great shape need some work to make them better. Jerry put them on his flow bench and although they flowed ok, they didn't flow as well as I was told initially, especially at lower lift levels where is really counts. .30-.50. They had lots of carbon built up on the intake runner floors and Jerry said they were just too smooth. Additionally, there was a lot of material still left during the gasket matching. That will be cleaned up as well.

So... I am definitely going with the stoker as I need a new rotating assembly anyway. I'll be getting a new cam spec as well.

It looks like its going to cost more than I thought, but I expected some changes.
