They haven't really identified a specific problem. Jerry has not taken the oil pump apart, nor did he find anything that jumped out during disassembly. The top end (pushrods, rockers) all look great and show no sign of oil deprivation. The bottom end on the other hand had gotten very hot and really thrashed things down below - however no rods were actually broken loose. The block is in good shape and still usable. It was line honed yesterday and the caps all are good.

Its odd though that the top end was still getting oil, (or so it appears) but the bottom looks oil starved.
