Yes, the 2618 alloy are the stronger of the two. They get installed with more clearance because they expand more. But, they are stronger. Most people would recommend them for high power, high rpm or FI applications.

The 4032's are what I used and are a compromise to provide extra strength, miminize the raw-raw-raw sound at cold start-up, but still avoid hyper-crap catastrophy.
