I used the "hi-strength 90". Coat both sides, heavier on the fabric to allow for absorbtion. I held the pieces upside down while covering and started from the end to minimize the risk of accidental contact.
I scrubbed the pieces in a TSP solution to clean.
Lightly sand, then I wiped them with some ketone which actually started to soften the surface. Whether that helped with adhesion or not, on an experimental piece, when I pulled the ultra leather off, some of the poly actually pulled off with it. It's a permanent bond, I believe.
