Subject: RE:84 ironhead valve cover gaskets by CentralCoaster on 2008/1/22 23:36:24 Easy to change, but hard to get them to seal properly without leaking later on. I've had the best luck with the right stuff and thicker rubber gaskets. But even those start leaking eventually. It's very hard to get a good seal against the rough head surface. Don't tighten the bolts too much. Someone else suggested using only RTV and no gasket. |
