How about band clamps? I'm considering that for mine.

in all the years I have swapped exhaust, I have tried band clamps, 1 bolt band style clamps and U-bolt clamps

U-bolt hold the twisting the best outside of welding

I will tack weld the mufflers and S pipes, since I bought the system used, there is not enough room for band clamps and the 1 bolt clamps would not hold the pipes from twisting
