Subject: Re: Differential Lube...Ever use heavy weight? by bogus on 2011/8/13 15:24:30 The rear in a C6 is made by Tremec, I think... and when the C6 Z06 came out, they had issues with the transaxles coming apart, mostly the junk sand castings of the rear diff housing. They fixed it... but the base coupe, AFAIK, still uses the junk castings. This has been a dirty little secret of the C5, too. Many a drag racer blow up those things... makes you ask why Corvette Racing uses the XTrac transaxle... |
