You could have some issues with your stock HEI that need attention thou. Start with the basics. Check the cap, rotor, wires and plugs themselves. Once you start increasing compression (dynamic) you make it harder for the plug fire to light the mixture.... the flame kernel gets blown out easier. Stock heat range plugs, and plug gaps no longer apply 100%. Some ignition boxes do have some really nice additional features for racing. Window switches, 2 step launch control, individual timing control trims..... Will |
