Do not know Name of Part by bogus on 2011/11/22 6:22:07 Are these the screens? or the little rubber things under the hood latch that look vaguely like condoms? The rubber things are designed to drain stuff out of the void under the windshield cowl. It really isn't a bad idea to clean the area out very so often. It's not so much like the area can rust, but why let moldy stuff form in there? You can use a hose at lowish pressure carefully flood them, lifting out the heavy stuff and then letting the small stuff fall through. The best fix is a filter that you can either make or buy from Ecklers. It's basically home AC filter material, and it will do wonders to keep that area clean.
