It was far enough out that I was able to get something behind it for pressure and then twisted, wiggled, turned, etc and it finally came off. Bad news is the fairly new C6ZR1 wheels is trash. The stud holes are wallowed out enough that I don't trust it. This is on my son's C5. He was called back to his base yesterday and only got to north side of Atlanta when he felt it and pulled over. Three studs sheared off, one nut half off, and only one nut (the problem one) holding the wheel on. We are thinking someone might have been trying to steal his wheel(s) and only got as far as loosening the lugnuts before being scared off. I got the hub off and all of the studs out. Five new studs and nuts will be here tomorrow and a new wheel should be here Friday. Fortunately he has AAA which covered the towing and we have an extra car for a loaner. Thanks Again, Andy |
