It's real easy not to get the gasket lip totally over the pan, and it's hard to see. I use a very small, flat blade screwdriver to run the outer edge of the gasket where it meets the curved front of the pan with the bolts loose.


I actually had the luxury of doing mine off the car... so there is no excuse! Except for a poor fitting gasket, or whacked out pan...
