Ladies and gentelmen, I give you, the super spindle!

Subject: Ladies and gentelmen, I give you, the super spindle!

Here's some shots of the super spindles that I got from www.summersbrothersracing.com

I worked them over last summer to get these things into production. They are almost a stocked item now, less than 10 days to get you a set if you want them.

The new, improved, super spindle:

I know it doesn't look like much, but once I get the stock spindles out of my car, I'll post some comparison shots. What they've done is build a larger shaft out of (if memory serves, but don't hold me to it) 303M material. The larger shaft is 30 splines on the outboard side, and 31 on the inboard side. The stock unit is 24 splines outboard, and cast into the yoke.

They also modify the wheel bearing to accept the new larger shaft:

Without the flash:

The super spindle and bearing next to one another:

One more shot. This shows the yoke broached for the 31 spline shaft:

I'm pretty excited about these. Prior to these, I was breaking a spindle every 4 passes at the drag strip. I have since gone to a much more forgiving clutch, but having these in the rear will give me a ton more confidence in the car.
