Yea, Frank, that's a GM Saginaw, millions of them produced.

Probably used on some cars/trucks by all the U.S. manufacturers for a very long time.

You need the casting number and size of the splines to correctly identify it but that will probably show that it was used on a lot of vehicles.

Get the number and type "Saginaw" with that number into Google.

BTW, it looks a lot like the one I have on a shelf in my shop (67 C2).
