I'd suggest you try to make an internal fuel sump of some kind first.... lots of people have used plastic liter bottles around the fuel pump to solve this problem.... I just have never got around to it on my 92.

I hate to link anybody to the SOB's that run CF but the old posters there did have some good knowlege. Here is a thread that has some links to pics (post #20 and #21) and a write up (post #11) of how people use a liter plastic bottle around the pump to make a bigger fuel sump.

Another option. The way the stock tank is shaped it's perfect for one of those weld on fuel pick up sumps like Competition Engineering mfgrs.

This would make running an external pump easy and it's inexpensive.

Your other option would be a fuel cell. 22 gallon is what we run in our late models. These have a rubber bladder, plastic outer shell with a 2 pc metal can to mount them. -8AN pick up tube. Very easy to make up a mounting system (2 bars across the impact sub frame is how I have one mounted on my 84 drag car) in the back of a C4 Corvette. Even with fabricating the mounting bars you'd be about $300-$350 turn key.
