Re: Idler pulley...

Well - not the best news from Marc Haibeck...

He said my pulley (from L-98), looked "ok", before he re-fitted new parts.

So I read that L-98 parts could be fitted to my tensioner. When did it get the L-98 parts? It still has only 37K on it, so this is the third???

And WD-40, one pulley @ a time, doesn't really work for diagnostic, for start-up chirping, since they're all sealed.

He said check A/C pulley next. Check it?

I tried FIRST using a hose, but could not isolate. It needs a FUNNEL on the end, but a funnel ain't got much real estate to work around in there.

IF IT IS A/C, wouldn't turning A/C on and off, WHILE IT'S CHIRPING, have an effect???

These pulleys are pretty much the same for all C4's, no?
