it sounds like the pin has worn out. they get rutted near where the caliper meets the bracket.
A little bit of loose is fine, if it's too tight, that could effect braking performance, but too loose is bad.
Also, check the upper control arm bolts. They can work loose, and create that clunk you are talking about. 19mm IIRC.
