I don't think I want to go down this road...

95 convertible...65,000 original.

Once in a while I'm getting a whiff of coolant. On the way home from buying the car, the gauge moved pretty high, last line before the hot when I was sitting in traffic. Temperature in FL was pretty hot and humid that day and I had the AC going.

In looking at it this afternoon there is a small amount of liquid sitting in an area of the crossmember directly in front of all the pulleys. You can just see it down there. Not a real strong smell of coolant and I certainly don't see any puddled on the ground.

The pump, if that is what I was looking at was a real clean, bright metal, not rusted, unless its an aluminum housing.

I really don't want to know this, but have to know if my waterpump is on its way out. If these are some of the symptoms. I don't want to lose the optispark if I can avoid it.

Never a dull moment!
