The pistons used are anodized aluminum, and if there's moisture in there it will corrode the steel DOM master cylinder offered by ACDelco, Raybestos, etc. My slave cylinder was BADLY pitted from corrosion and wouldn't hold pressure. Now on slaves, you want the cast steel one, as it has a steel piston. The DOM steel ones have an aluminum pistons. Aluminum and steel don't get along. |
