I guess it depends on what you mean by "proper geometry"? We recommend setting the bolt to bolt length the same as your stock dog bones for the trailing arms, at least to start. The length of the camber rods will be determined by what you want for camber obviously.

When installed there are spacers that go on either side of the rod end to ensure it does not slide back & forth on the bolt. When tightened, the link cannot move from its mounting points but can rotate slightly because of the spherical ends.
