Subject: how many splines does tilt steering colum shaft have ?? by c4-zo7-91 on 2008/9/5 19:54:00 hi guys, i was hoping that some one could please advise me as usual on how many splines the vette steering colum shaft has that the steering wheel slides/bolts on to please ?? iv got my steering wheel of and my 1991 vette has 32 splines and is split system,16 each side and slot up top and bottom @ 12 o clock and 6 o clock position, is this normal?? i was told that generally the gm have more splines and dont have the slot up top and bottom. and im thinking may be they changed the steering colum spline shaft when they converted from left hand drive to right hand drive. not sure why though ?? any help guys please ?? cheers glen |
