Anyone know how far in to the plenum those runners go?

On the HSR? Its runners terminate flush with the base of
the plenum.

The reason the tests show more power with a plenum is
explained by the influence of Helmholtz Resonance on
cylinder filling.

Using the aftermarket throttle body on an HSR plenum may
influence the Helmholtz Resonance to whatever extent that
volume of the plenum changes. An individual runner intake
with four of these throttle bodies would be a different
matter.
