Subject: Need to pass emissions by ninetyfivevette on 2008/11/5 0:35:24 Here's a silly question- say a poor sucker moves to an area where emissions testing cannot be avoided and he has a moderately modified motor- 383 with ported heads and intake, larger valves, larger TB, large cam, bigger rockers, etc.. Could he get away with simply downgrading the cam, or is our friend totally up sh!t creek since the flow dynamics have been completely altered? The other option being considered is to grab an LT1 from ebay to pass emissions with, but that's a fair bit more work. |
