That is what I was thinking as well. Quote: Regarding the funding issue, I wasn't trying to pick a number, I'm just saying that you shouldn't expect others to pay for 100% of it if you're benefitting from it as well. I see what you are saying, but I don't really stand to gain anything from the comparison. Whether I do the comparison testing or not, I'll most likely end up in the exact same place - With AFR 195's on my engine. The only way that won't happen is if the TFS heads have enough of an advantage over the AFR heads for me to go through the hassle and expense of another head swap. I'd need to see probably 10 HP at some point in the curve to make it worth it to me again. By doing the comparison testing the likely scenario is that all I am doing is incurring more cost, spending more time, and swapping heads an extra time to arrive at the same place - With AFR 195's on my engine. I don't have a problem with the time and the labor, it's the couple hundred bucks of miscellaneous parts and dyno time that I'm struggling with. Quote: I would expect that if the test showed that TFS outperformed the AFR, you wouldn't want to leave the AFRs on there. You are 100% correct. Depending on the difference in power, I may swap back to the TFS heads. This is really the only way I stand to benefit from the comparison testing that I see. |
