If you didn't get the multimeter yet, it's obviously a good idea to spend $10.- for a cheap one. Test all the fuses and go from there.
Just the other day I had an ECM I couldn't collect data from. Weird part, the computer connected but no data, go figure the fuse was blown. The engine would turn over strongly but no fuel.
