Subject: ASR/Traction Control unit delete - how to? I fried it : ( by jonecap on 2009/8/24 0:22:38 Long story, but I managed to fry my ASR/traction control unit today. It had something to do with me bolting the bracket down on top of the hot wire for my electric water pump. Not cool, especially considering I can't drive the car now. Now I'd like to figure out how to get rid of the traction control unit altogether. I think it would look cleaner under the hood without it and I don't need it. Unfortunately, the cruise control and throttle cable are tied into the unit. I'm sure someone else has done this. Would it work if I got a throttle linkage assembly off of a pre-traction control car? Anybody done this already? Thanks guys! |
