July Update

Subject: July Update
by samauriwarrior on 2006/7/10 20:17:10

First I want to say thanks to all who responded. I really appreciate the generosity of the members who are willing to give their advice and expertise so freely. I have been able to do some little things to correct the problem and just want to let you all know where I stand. First I replaced the spark plugs. Now I am not a small person but I am not a giant either (6'2" with what I think are average size hands.) I would like to meet the engineering midget who designed the engine compartment. My hands are cut and scrapped from the tight fit of all the peripheral equipment stuffed into the engine bay. Anyways a better part of a Saturday and they are replaced. I also replaced the left side O2 sensor. I took it out for a drive and pretty much had the same problem. I know I will have to replace the right side sensor but it was running late and I buttoned it up for the day. I put a bottle of Techron in the tank too. I will replace the rt. sensor and the fuel filter on my next free Saturday. The spark plug wires looked pretty good, not cracked or stiff. If that does not fix the problem I will be back looking or more free advice. Again thanks to all.
