You want to clean up the transition from those ports. Edelbrock has a big crosssection, but the entry ports are undersized, so that it fits the stock runners. I assume you're upgrading the runners too, so you need to port all that out. It can be transitioned from stock runners, but it's not ideal. I have that on a setup on mine. Basically if the diameter increases suddenly at too much of an angle, the airstream seperates from the wall and creates a ton of turbulence, like the wake on a boat. |
