There were a few C4 turbo's that surfaced, not to long ago on the other forum. One went for less than 10k, the other was a turbo monster that ran eights with the IRS (now has solid) for $24k, if memory is correct. $5500 - $6000 is just the start. Back in December / January I was seriously considering changing my car over to turbo. With this setup, I'd be shocked if after all of the tuning, new injectors, time, and getting the bugs worked out, if the turn key price is under $10k. Even with a mild 8 psi, you better have a very good condition or fresh bottom end or parts could break at any time. I was disappointed with the power output. 400 - 410 rwhp isn't much for that kind of cash. However, it would be cool to say, yeah, I built that! Tyler or Curtis, if you decide to go that way, I'd love to lend a helping hand to see the system take shape! Even though I wouldn't do it, it would still be a cool project. Vetteoz, now that is a turbo setup. What kind of power does that thing make? |
