If you need a vacuum source, just hook it up to your ear. :thumbright:

I was working on an 86 today, the vacuum check valve feeds the cruise control lines and I guess the hvac too. It was down between the distributor and the wiper motor.

Why are you painting the suspension parts? They're bare aluminum. Just clean them with simple green and a brush! Paint, and the overspray will look terrible on there. Sort of a complete waste of time though when the car has other pressing problems. Hold off on cleaning the suspension until you have to change a bearing or brakes or something.
