The car seems to hook really well anymore, it's not nearly as sensitive to track conditions, tire pressure, burnout, etc... as it's been in the past. Most of my friends run the bias ply ET streets or ET drags, and those guys are having traction problems before I am, so I'm pretty pleased with the tire/car combo right now. Basically, if it ain't broke, I'm not gonna mess with it. 1.65 is about all I expected out of the tires, and I truthfully don't know if I want to push the rear harder than that, so I'm pretty happy with what the car is doing right now.

The one thing I don't like about the nitto is that if you don't hook it, it doesn't want to recover. When I ran ET streets, if it spun, you could just leave your foot in it and the tire would hook up in short order. Once the nittos are gone, they won't recover until you lift.

Jon, with your car, I would start with 25 PSI and a moderate burnout. I'd lower pressure and possibly increase burnout duration until it did what I wanted it to. Depending on how you are treating the clutch pedal, they may never work for you. I had to work on slowing down my clutch release alot in order to get them to work for me. As a matter of fact, I'm still working on it. I think that my car has potential for a mid 1.5 in it on these tires if I can work the clutch properly. Like I said though, after all I've been through with the rear end, I don't really know that I want it to go faster than mid 1.6's.

Thanks for the compliment Dan, the timeslip/beer bet is still on, right?
