I had a timing issue a couple years ago and this is what was the cause on my OEM 20 year old stock harmonic balancer:  You can see how the rubber ring deteriorated and allowed the outer ring (with timing mark) to slip around. I replaced it with a piece from rock auto for around $35 I think. Matthew |
