The one I got from him years ago was advertised much as you describe; distributor hole done, ready to bolt on and go. The distributor depth was incorrect, I didn't check it, and the oil pump drive was only engaged by about .010. The drive let go at 6K on the dyno and I lost oil pressure. That's the reason there is a 383 in my car now. Regardless, be sure to check the depth on the distributor. A simple paste on the cam gear is all it would have taken for me to see there was a problem. |
