You can save the oil pan by drilling the drain plug oversize, and using a larger bolt. $100 or more back into the budget if you save it. Factory timing chain sets work fine too. Just buy a $10 set of degree bushings to be sure it phases in properly. That could put another $40 or $50 back into the budget compared to a double roller chain set. |
