The thing you have to remember with tires is you truly get what you pay for. If you want consistent performance through the life of the tread, buy a quality name brand tire: BST, FST, MIC, BFG, Toyo. All the rest, you are taking a chance. For a set of 17" tires front and rear on C4 you will probably pay close to a grand mounted and balanced. Tire rack seems to have pretty good selection and prices. I had Sumitomos on my 93 and swapped them for new FST Firehawks. In my mind, the Firehawk is just about the perfect tire for a C4, excellent perfromance wet or dry at a fair price. All that said, buy the best tire you can afford no matter what vehicle. This is not the place to save $$ by making a compromise. |
