Talking about separate sensors. Low oil level light is just an idiot light. I do not believe it stops anything from functioning. It just says add oil.


The pressure switch, goes down to 5 psi before it shuts down if I remember correctly. Already at 5 psi you are reaching a critical point. You will be starving the top end for oil.

But seriously, once you are racing and you lose oil pressure or oil general, your motor is toast. Which is why people run accusumps.
