Just revisiting this thread to document some observations.

I taped up the connector for the oil level sensor that was located in the old oil pan. The oil level light on the DIC still comes on periodically. It seems that about every other time I start the car the light comes on and then the next time it will not come on. I have not removed the bulb from the DIC but need to, as it feels weird to see the low oil light come on. I just think its odd that it comes on some times and not at others.
