Subject: Re: 87 vett destroying clutch master cylinders by istter1 on 2012/1/9 0:24:33 Well up and running again. We did some modification to the clutch pedal bushing. It was shot. We replaced it about 6 months ago. When we removed the old plastic bushing and set it down on the table in the shop there was a Brash bushing that looked so much like the plastic one from the vett. We did a little grinding on it and drilled it out a bit and it fit perfect. Now when you pushed down on the pedal the shaft did from the master went in straight every time. We had bent a push rod shaft on the master about a year ago. The play and slop was now stabilized and everything may work fine this time. The slave was a bit of a pain to bleed this time but worked fine when we bleed it through the master, it improved. Still some air in the system but not a lot. Drives fine. Will bleed it again next weekend. As slaves can be a pain in the butt and easy the next day. http://corvettespecialty.com/corvette ... brake-pedal-pivot-bushing Got to have it ready for school monday, as it is the best looking car on Campus. Lol I can't impress the femal teachers but the gets more looks then me. Steve |
