I've fixed far worse damage. As long as the debris didn't beat up the seats and valves it'll be pretty cheap to repair. Simple weld fee, some shaping/blending and re-surface. Make sure to check the rod out really good to be certain it's still straight. The way that piston is collasped is very interesting looking. With so little, the damage was definatly low speed - So I'm gonna guess it happened cranking over on the starter or shortly after firing. I am also curious as to what it ingested. Will |
