As far as C4s go, I'm no expert, but I have been working on cars for a long time now and I have learned some general information that spans many makes and models and it's always worth checking into.

Voltage & Ground

I would have the battery load tested. Sure, it may hold a 12V charge when off, a 14V when running, and fire the engine ever time...but if a cell is bad it can cause 'phantom' issues.

I would also take the alternator to a shop that specializes in starters and alternators. Have it tested. If the diode trio is failing...even intermittently, you're voltage will be jumping all over the place.

Computers are VERY picky when it comes to voltage. They typically have a very small range where they are happy. Fall below or above those marks and the systems shut down and start back up very randomly.

Aside from battery and alternator testing...remove, inspect, and clean all main system grounds. Battery to chassis, engine, computer...both POS and NEG.

I have trouble shot a few nightmare situations like this and it ended up being a bad battery / connection.
