^^Is that true?? I hadn't heard that at all.

So, I need to be sourcing me two more 18s for the front? and just run 18s squared?

yea... even the Michelin tech, speaking at Sebring in the Corvette Corral made reference to some 17" sizes becoming less available.

I do think that the Corvette's 275/40/17 will stay, but the 315 and 255 widths are going to get hard to find.

You figure that the 275's were also used on Mustangs and F-Bodies, so there are a lot of other cars that used them. But think of the plight of the Lambo Countach owner. They have these monster wide 15" things (335, I think), and NO ONE IS MAKING THEM!!! There has been a call out for a small batch, but even then, only Pirelli made them.

Michelin does not like having tires stay on the shelves more than 6 months, so they only sell sizes that, well, sell. And since they are a batch maker (a whole bunch of one size at a time), they are not going to be offering certain tires in unpopular sizes. I asked about the new PS2 Cup's, these are the shit, yo, but there are no plans of offering them in the 275/40/17 size. Period.
