UPDATE:

I pulled the right head... a few things:

1. The cat to collector bolts seemed ok.

2. Head bolts all felt ok, except one felt less that tight, compared to the rest.

3. No sign of damage internally. Lots of carbon build up.

4. Which means the head gasket was ok. I will add, the various parts of the head gasket where coolant is controlled are seriously bulging and looked like a breach wasn't far off... In short, I don't think the head gaskets were long for this world.

There is quite a bit of flaky carbon build up on the heads, and quite a bit on the piston faces. There was also some loose oily carbon.

I will post pics later.
