OK so a quick update. I called the body shop to have them confirm the frame was bent and he said they have not put it on the jig yet. So they know the "cage" in the back is bent a little but they said for a couple of hundred bucks they can bend that back out.

I know these guys pretty well and he said if I can find used parts then I could get this thing fixed up fairly easily.

So I hit the internet and already bought a rear-end assembly with lights for $300. The fiberclass cover is over $1,000 from GM so it looks like I might be able to save this car. I just don't want to have 15k tied up in a 9k car. Looks like I'm in it for the long haul now.

Maybe I will start a thread about this project. Thanks for the help!
