Personally I'd find someone parting a C4 out and get them to cut a "repair pannel" off and have the body shop graft it on yours.... SMC cuts really clean with a saber or jig saw using fine tooth blade.

The rear "frame" has an alum subframe/bumper support in that area that just bolts on... That might be the "cage" they are talking about... if that is what's bent, just unbolt it and install another one for someone parting a C4 out.

I have a friend right down the road from me in Sterling, VA that parts out C4's... He has 3 of them for parts right now... He is priced fair and is good guy to deal with. If you need used parts, I'll be happy to give you his contact info.
