Subject: 1984 Serpentine Belt Reroute Questions by 84bluec4 on 2013/6/17 3:47:56 Is it possible to reroute the serpentine belt and has anyone have a belt size/part number to use? The old A/C compressor seized up and the smog pump has a little squeal to it. I was wondering if this would even work. 1. Swap out the smooth idler pulley for a grooved one. 2. remove smog pump 3. reroute belt around pulley to alternator. Below is the belt route of a 84 crossfire. |
